I would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which I predominantly work. I pay my respects to the Wurundjeri Elders, past and present, and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait people of this land.
I am grateful for the rich indigenous wisdom, sacred story-telling, and traditional customs that continue to connect to, and evoke the creative spirit permeating this land – a creative energy of which I as an artist, benefit from.
Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded and we must continually unite to educate and create change which centres indigenous voices in the governance and management of this land and people.
